Established for over 60 years, we operate a diversified portfolio of insurance schemes and facilities, most of which are specific to a trade, sector or affinity group.
As an underwriting agency, we strongly advocate the role of professional retail intemediaries and have a wide network of over 1,000 supporting brokers throughout the UK. We believe that a combination of our specialist products and teams, working with the broad general skills and market access of retail brokers, provides a compelling proposition to customers.

Camberford Underwriting has a number of key Insurer partners and most of these relationships are long established; supporting our ethos of long term partnerships. We endeavour to secure capacity from insurers that are best placed to deliver both the financial security that clients require from the risk transfer mechanism and quality service by way of claims handling that our brokers and clients expect.
Our quotations each set out the Insurers providing capacity for our schemes and products. Increasingly now we offer a range of insurances as sections within a broad policy wording; the Insurer for each such section is made clear.
Having been a Lloyd’s Coverholder for many years, we became fully accredited as a Lloyd’s Broker in 2006. This, in addition to our Company arrangements, enables us to broaden our scheme range and increase the capacity we provide to the market.
Whilst primarily used for arranging capacity for our own managed products, we do utilise our London Market relationships to arrange facilities and schemes for other Insurance Intermediaries who have affinity or niche portfolios.
